Choreography
Once again, we are joined by Sticks & Bones Marching Band! This year, we’ll be dancing to Superstition (Stevie Wonder) and Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics). Here are the choreography notes and videos:
Superstition
Intro (32 counts)
Basic Egyptian touch step, arms in low V
Melody
Step turn left (4 counts)
Camel turn left 6x, right arm up, left arm down “flying” (12 counts)
Step turn right (4 counts)
Camel turn right 6x, left arm up, right arm down “flying” (12 counts)
Cross step, arms up in a high V 8x (16 counts), shoulder shimmy accent on counts 3 &4
Slight turn of the body to angle to the right, camel left to keep moving forward, left arm up, right arm down “flying” 4x (8 counts)
Slight turn of the body to angle to the left camel right to keep moving forward, right arm up, left arm down “flying” 4x (8 counts)
Face full forward again, ¾ shimmy walk – 8 steps, arms start up and go down, then go back up again (8 counts)
Pause in place to do wing and beak zig zag*, end by starting basic Egyptian touch step with arms in low V
Repeat from top
*Arm and beak zig zag:
1. look up to the right, both arms pointing to high right
2. Look to the left side, both arms point to left side
3. Look to the right down, both arm point to low right

Maya steps to right diagonal x4 (8 counts)

Touch step forward, arms start low and go high, then low again and start from top
